The Career Unit of the College of Law held a seminar for fourth-year students on 6 November, 2024, to discuss important issues related to College graduates such as the future of the Law graduates, sort of jobs suitable for Law graduates, characteristics of the legal work, and the skills acquired by Law graduates. Dr.Yousif S. Yousif, the lecturer, shed light on the job of the 'lawyer', mostly favored by law candidates. Law graduates can join courts, work as notary publics or legal chancellors. He pointed out that graduates with good experiences have many accessible opportunities .The legal jobs in general are highly dignified in our society being professions that require a lot of commitment and precision, he added. Mistakes or faults committed by people working in the legal domain may lead to adverse consequences. The lecturer further hinted at the distinctive nature of the legal profession which is both exhausting and stressful due to the long hours spent on legal cases. Finally, Dr.Yousif drew the attention of students to the importance of acquiring the necessary skills, training, and practice related to the legal profession in order to secure tangible success.
The seminar was attended by the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs and the Chairman of the Department of Law with a number of fourth-year students
